Abalone & Sea Soap

Abalone & Sea Soap is my 4th batch of soap for the Soap Challenge Club competition.

I think I may be getting the hang of that “peacock” swirl. I chose the colors for this soap based on the fragrance I wanted to use, not realizing that they are also “peacock” colors, so it all seems to work together. I normally would have planed the soap front to smooth it out, but I like the ridges made by the swirling, so I left it alone. There is a gold mica layer that really stood out when the soap was still wet. It isn’t quite as noticeable in the finished soap, but you can still see the golden shimmer if you look closely.

I’m happy with this soap, so it will be the one I submit for the competition.

These bars will be ready and available in limited quantity in a few weeks. If you are interested in purchasing a bar of it, please click through the link below. There is a form you can fill out to be notified when the soap is available.
