**I’ve just restocked our shelves with this soap, so head on over to purchase some.**
Previously – – I’ve been hearing that some fellas are really liking a particular soap they buy online, so I thought I’d try to make some. I call mine PINE TAR GRIT. Starting with my usual go-to formula, I modified it to include pine tar, activated charcoal, ground oatmeal, and pumice, as well as a few other ingredients to make those things work together. I scented it with sweet orange and balsam cedar.
Because of the pumice, this soap is way too scratchy for me to use as a bath soap, but my husband loves it! Must be a “man” thing. I do like keeping my test bar next to the kitchen sink to use as a hand soap, and I think this would make a great soap for a mechanic to use. As with any pine tar and/or charcoal soap, it will leave a little residue in the soap dish or wash cloth (but it rinses away easily).
