Description
Activated Charcoal does wonders for oily, combination, and acne-prone skin. It cleanses and detoxifies and, because of its absorption properties, draws out toxins and impurities from your pores. We’ve added it to our soap for an amazing deep clean.
Scented with lavender and lemongrass essential oils, our activated charcoal soap is great to use in the shower after workouts, leaving you feeling clean and fresh.
Side note: While this black soap creates a beautiful white lather, you may notice some of the black charcoal on your washcloth or even where you lay the soap down after using. This is normal. I would suggest not using a washcloth at all with this soap. Simply lather it up on your hands and smooth it onto your skin, then rinse with clear water. Any residue you find in your sink or shower will rinse out easily.
For best results, when using for acne or poison ivy, leave a thick lather on the affected area for a few minutes before rinsing.
As with any of our soaps, allow the soap to dry between uses so it will last longer for you.
Fragrance Notes: Lavender, Lemongrass
Ingredients: olive oil, water, coconut oil, palm oil, avocado, sodium hydroxide, castor oil, activated charcoal, fragrance and essential oils.
About: Our soap is handmade in a tiny shop on our farm in Southwest Missouri. It is made in small batches that are allowed to cure for a minimum of 4 weeks. After it is cured, we shrink wrap each bar and apply a label that includes the ingredients and the minimum weight of the bar, as well as some other information. When we receive your order, we hand select the bars and ship them to you, usually the very same day via USPS.
Weight: Each bar of soap weighs from 4.5 to 5.5 oz. (unless stated otherwise) when cured and labeled but may continue to lose weight over time. They are hand-cut, so the weight will vary slightly. We label the soap with the lowest weight of the batch.
Storage & Use: Handmade lye soap should be kept in a dry ventilated area until time to use. Between uses, be sure to put the soap on a well-drained soap dish or rack. By allowing the soap to dry between uses, it will last much longer. If allowed to sit in moisture, it may become mushy.
